Recipe calls for


  • 12 cups homogenized milk
  • 1 ½ cups sugar
  • ½ cup strawberry purée
  • 1 cup strawberries, chopped and divided
  • ½ cup Patak’s® Sweet Mango Chutney


  1. Place the milk in a heavy-bottomed pan and slowly bring to boil. Reduce heat and cook for about 20 min, stirring constantly. 
  2. Continue to heat the milk, stirring every 5 min, until the milk is reduced in half (about 6 cups) and has the consistency of thick cream. This should take about 1 ½ to 2 hours. 
  3. Remove from heat, add sugar and stir until dissolved. Set aside to cool. 
  4. With an immersion blender, purée the Patak’s® Sweet Mango Chutney with the strawberry purée and strawberries (saving a few for garnish). Pulse until mixture is smooth. 
  5. Place the milk mixture in shallow dishes, top with the strawberry chutney purée.
  6. Garnish with a few strawberry slices.
